Present at the August 7 meeting were Karma, Tashfin, Peter, Jess, Berwyn
and 3 cats. Any decisions were arrived at by general concensus.
The officer reports were pretty much a repeat of last month's, except
that Tashfin is stepping down as Web Minister, and Berwyn will take the
job.
Old business:
It was decided that the Peasant Revolt event would be Saturday,
September 27, 2008.
In light of the new fee structure, there were concerns about whether we
could draw enough attendees to keep the Woodland Lodge as a site. It
was suggested we might want to consider the Chalet. We know the kitchen
there is inadequate for any kind of elaborate feast, but it should
suffice for the peasant fare we had in mind.
As to whether we could "Get Erehwon" for our event, there's nothing
stopping us from having a big whopping rapier tournament, whatever its
called.
New Business.
Uhe UND Involvement Expo is Weds, August 21 from 10 am to 2 PM. MARS has
a table reserved, but we need people to man the booth. If at all
possible, our presenters should be individuals who can appeal to our
target demographic. We will ask Korsvag for assistance.
Thats about it, from memory.
Berwyn

I have to go to Minneapolis today for a doctor's appt. and won't make
the meeting tonight. Sept. 1, I'll call the park and reserve the last 2
weekends in Sept. We can cancel one later once we pinned down a date.
For site tokens, I'd like about 50 or 60 small belt pouch type bags -
for size think just big enough to hold a deck of cards. The more
outrageous the fabric the better, with just a string to hold them
closed. If you have scraps of fabric to contribute or want to sew a
few, just let me know. Thanks,

PS Someone needs to remember to ask Rigo if we can do Erewhon.
