now, that ive had a chance to read the archives to see whats been said, i
have to disagree with the CCC.

i personally dont find that as a good setting for an event. especially if
we are trying to cook anything. the last event we held with at the ccc, i
remember a lot of people taking off immediately after court. no sticking
around for food, for the scenery, or the people. just into cars and gone.

while the options of emerado or avacyn's for an off-site cooking are
doable, i think of too many can/will go wrong events (both controllable
and uncontrollable) with both sites. minimizing these problems, to me, is
a big deal.

for $150, we get the kitchen for cooking on site (id also like those
cooking to be able to step out and see people who came, or have random
helpers come to help, i dont forsee that happeneing if its offsite),
refridgeration so we dont have to mess with coolers or better than average
timing. multiple places for sitting (in/outdoors) more room for any
classes or just pick up learning times.

as opposed to $100 for a roof, bbq, running water and a hole in the
ground. if we tack on the $50 for emerado, we wash the savings and deal
with 2 sites. or the shelter and a location most cant easily get to.

my vote still is and will be the lodge.

so date: august 11? does that work for most and does that fall into
anything we cannot deal with, such as a kingdom event?
