Meeting notes for 4-5-08

In attendance:  Pete, Arthur, Karma, Tashfin, George, Hans, Christine, Brad,
Berwyn

Officer reports:
Heavy Marshal:  BJ will be taking on this office will submit a change of
office form.  there are currently 4 fighters in shire.  Will be having fight
practice two times a month.  Will be setting up a shop.
Exchequer:  Same report as last month.  Looking for new exchequer to take
over in 2 months.  Will do bank change over to Gate City before change over.
Seneschal:  I have my report in.
Chirurgeon: CPR certification complete.
Rapier Marshal:  needing to talk to Fiskr to get opinion on what to do with
my MIT.
Herold:   Nothing new going on.  Took web design classes at SUN will be
using this on the web site soon.

New Business:
Shawn has accepted the Chronicler position.  he will work on a pdf format of
a newsletter.
*We will be holding officer elections at the next meeting.*  Please think
about which office you would like to hold or be a deputy for.

Old Business:
September event:
I have recipes for feast from Avacyn and Christine.  We set a $8 feast cost
per person.   this sets the feast budget at roughly $400.  We set a 60
person cap, but this is flexible as we get closer to the date.   I will
price out the feast and see how it will fall in budget and make adjustments
accordingly.  I will get the menu to Berwyn as soon as possible to be
published.  I will be contacting the park to see if i can look at the
kitchen to see what they have for cookware.  possible road trip!
We set the site fee at $6.  Children under the age of 7 will be free.
The cost of the woodland lodge is $250.
We will need to speak to the new prince and princess to see if they would
like to attend.
Berenice the Northshield Seneschal is planning on attending (She called me
today, and said she is looking forward to attending)
Parking will be paid at the ranger station
Cabins will be on your own.
Family cap will be used if needed.
No lunch on site.  Lunch is on your own.
No children's activities.
Christine accepted the roll of activity planning.

Meeting times:
The time that was chosen by the poll was thursday evening.  this puts the
next meeting May 1st 7 pm at the Memorial union.
Our meetings until September will be held at university park under the big
shelter.  (If occupied will use a smaller one).  We will bring banner/sign
to meeting.
E-mail calander reminder will be going again.  Pete will add others to the
list to put in dates as well.

Calender:
April:
13th at noon Fight practice at Shawn's  He will post his address.  Will set
next fight practice at that time.  Possibly the 27th of april.
Movie/Project night on 17th. 7pm at my house.

May:
1st meeting 7Pm memorial union
15th sewing night at Alicia's house 7pm.  Will help with Garb making.  I
only have one sewing machine at the current time please bring yours if you
want to sew.
Fight practice on two of the Sundays at noon at Shawn's house.

If I missed anything please tell me and I will add it in.
